PINCHED NERVE AND RADICULOPATHY in Redondo Beach CA
Radiculopathy is a condition due to a compressed nerve in the spine that can cause pain, numbness, tingling, or weakness along the course of the nerve. Radiculopathy can occur in any part of the spine, but it is most common in the lower back (lumbar radiculopathy) and in the neck (cervical radiculopathy). It is less commonly found in the middle portion of the spine (thoracic radiculopathy). To better understand how a Redondo Beach CA chiropractor can help read the article below.

More on Radiculopathy
We have successfully treated many cases involving radiating pain down the arms and legs. Typically these are caused by a “pinched nerve”. This term is very loosely used but it takes a licensed Doctor of Chiropractic to diagnose and begin treatment based off our best clinical recommendation. Pinched nerves in our office have been treated as quickly as 2-4 weeks but the more chronic conditions can take as long as three months. If you are evaluated in our office, we will perform a range of motion, physical, and neurological tests which help us better understand the severity of your condition. After doing all necessary examinations including a postural (cervical and lumbar) check Dr. Sanchez will take a diagnostic x-ray which will show any arthritis or degenerative properties in the spine. Even the most subtle compression on sensitive nerves or surrounding tissue may irritate a nerve or complex. Once all information is properly examined and discussed we offer our best recommendations on an individual basis not strictly from symptomatic complaints.
The Doctors at Arc of Life Chiropractic have treated many simple to complex cases of pinched nerves leading to radiculopathy. Treatments include a course of spinal adjustments (manipulation), physiotherapy modalities, and home recommendations. Our clinic has been able to eliminate and stop and keep radiculopathy symptoms away many times over.
Post symptomatic relief recommendations may include maintenance adjustments, home exercise, and stretching to keep these issues gone.
